THE NCPBL FOUNDATION, INC. CHALLENGES YOU TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The support local chapters provide for The NCPBL Foundation, Inc. will generate greater returns for our students. Through this support Conference Registration Scholarships have been made available for state officers attending the Institute for Leaders and the National Fall Leadership Conference as well as PBL member Registration Scholarships for the NCPBL Fall Leadership Development Conference, the National Fall Leadership Conference and NCPBL State Leadership Conference.  For 2009, three PBL members received $650 scholarships for which winners were announced at SLC and the scholarship will be presented at 2009 FLDC.

CURRENT CAMPAIGNS FOR THE LOCAL CHAPTERS

BEAT THE BOARD CAMPAIGN

From November 1 until the close of State Leadership Confernce (SLC) in Charlotte, NC, the board members of The NCPBL Foundation, Inc., challenge members and chapters to raise more money for the Foundation than the board members for funding of the SLC. The board urges chapters to actively participate in beating the board's total dollar amount that is raised this year. Two (2) fund-raising thermometers will be placed on the Foundation's main page to keep track of the total amount raised by each group. One with the Foundation Board's total. One with the NCPBL chapter's total.

Guidelines and how credit will be given:

The Board

The NCPBL Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors will receive credit for the following:

  • The board has committed to raise over $4000 or more to go towards SLC expenses
  • This money will come from donations and sponsorships that the Board actively seeks
  • Money can come from companies and individuals
  • Total money will be calculated at the end of SLC and announced at the voting session of SLC on Saturday afternoon

The Chapters and Membership

Chapters and membership will receive credit towards their total for the following:

  • Chapters that provide leads to Board of Director members that produce a donation or sponsorship
  • Chapters and chapter members who actively seek donations and sponsorships for SLC. Money should be mailed to the Foundation with the following information:
    • Chapter and member who secured sponsorship or donation
    • Name of company or individual that contributed
    • If a sponsorship, what event is being sponsored
  • Chapters will receive credit for the sale of NCPBL Design a Pin Contest SLC pins
  • Friday fund-raiser at the SLC (credit of all chapters)

The NCPBL Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors urges the chapters to get involved in this campaign to raise funds for the Foundation which helps to reduce your cost of NCPBL activities and conferences.

 

FOOD LION SHOP 'N SHARE PROGRAM FUNDRAISER

**ATTENTION** Food Lion Shop ‘n Share:  Effective January 1, 2010, Food Lion changed this program.  NCPBL no longer meets the guidelines.  If your chapter has been gathering names since the FLDC, please go ahead and mail those names to the Foundation by the stated deadline on the Terry Lowrance Leadership Award to count towards that particular line item.  At this time the Foundation does not have a replacement program.

CAMPAIGNS FOR THE PROFESSIONAL DIVISION MEMBERS

ADOPT-A-STUDENT

The NCPBL Foundation, Inc. is challenging all Professional Division Members to Adopt-A-Student to sponsor PBL members to attend the Fall Leadership Development Conference. This project will focus on raising money for the 2009 State Fall Leadership Development Conference and to cover the cost of registration for over 200 students. Our goals is $4000.
